Inducted into the HHOF in 2001

Dale was inducted in to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001 after only his second year of eligibility. His 518 goals and 891 assists give him 1409 points, ranking him 19th all-time.

Drafted 1st overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 1981

After leading the Cornwall Royals to two consecutive Memorial Cup Championships, Dale was selected first overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Dale immediately emerged as the Jets superstar, He became the youngest player in NHL history to score 100 points, finishing the season with 103. He won the NHL’s Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s Rookie of the Year in 1982 and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in his second year of eligibility in 2001.
